INTRODUCTION

This programme is designed to equip participants with knowledge of planning a project, program its activities, design and implement its follow-up system. This comprehensive course provides fast-track training on all phases of the project cycle management: From needs assessment, through planning (analysis and design) to monitoring the implementation of the project. 

Participants are first introduced to the Results-Based Management (RBM) approach and its application in project management. Then, participants are working through the project planning and activities programming steps. The main tool used is the logical framework. It provides a structured model for identifying expected results as well as the activities and inputs needed to accomplish them. 

The course also provides additional techniques and tools to analyze problems, identify stakeholders, define results to be achieved in line with population’s needs and program human, financial and logistic resources in an efficient way. Furthermore, the course shed light on project cycle management in crisis situation. Finally, participants discuss how to design and implement a proper monitoring system.

The course can be offered as in-person or online. In online training, the trainer maintains the same level of interaction as in an in-person course. Personalized post-course support is available for a period of six months after the course

Participants who successfully complete the course will receive Certificate of Participation.

·      Step 2: Choosing the operational strategy

·      Step 3: Designing the project

·      Formulating project objectives

·      Analyzing potential risks for the project

Module 4: Implementation Phase

·      Planning the project implementation 

·      Sequencing and scheduling activities

·      Programming human, financial and logistic resources

GENERAL NOTES

·      The instructor led trainings are delivered using a blended learning approach and comprises of presentations, guided sessions of practical exercise, web-based tutorials and group work. Our facilitators are seasoned industry experts with years of experience, working as professional and trainers in these fields.

·      The participants should be reasonably proficient in English as all facilitation and course materials will be offered in English.

·      Upon successful completion of this training, participants will be issued with a certificate.

·      The training will be held at Kincaid Training Centre. The course fee covers the course tuition, training materials, two break refreshments and lunch.
