INTRODUCTION

The Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Training course introduces you to the fundamental aspects of the supply chain environment, including enterprise resource planning systems and requirement systems. The connection between purchasing, vendor selection, sources of supply, and technology will also be explored in this program. The participants will gain skills on how Procurement and Supply Chain Management operate to the realization of the company’s profits. It will also help them to appropriate mangers of the procurement process.

The course is based on a participatory, active learning approach, with an emphasis on critical reflection and peer-to-peer learning. The course instructor will provide individualised feedback where appropriate. Participants will do the required readings, prepare interim and final assignments and participate in group discussions. 

Participants who successfully complete the course will receive Certificate of Participation.

 

OBJECTIVES

By the end of the course, the participant should be able to;

·      Comprehend the marketing management and the strategies involved in developing a marketing plan.

·      Know the code of ethical standards for purchasing and supply chain operations under which modern business practices might be more clearly understood and favorably accepted by the public in general.
