Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) in Policy, Programs, and Practice

Introduction

Gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) are critical components of sustainable development and effective governance. In today’s global development and humanitarian landscape, integrating GESI ensures that programs and policies respond to the needs, rights, and realities of all individuals—regardless of gender, age, disability, ethnicity, class, or other dimensions of exclusion.

This comprehensive training is designed to strengthen the capacity of professionals, policymakers, and practitioners to mainstream GESI principles in their work. Through a blend of conceptual frameworks, real-life case studies, participatory methodologies, and practical tools, the course equips participants to recognize inequality, understand power dynamics, and take action to promote equity, participation, and empowerment.

Participants will explore how to conduct inclusive needs assessments, design gender-responsive and socially inclusive interventions, and track progress through GESI-sensitive monitoring and evaluation. The training also emphasizes organizational change, advocacy, and leadership for inclusion—ensuring that institutions themselves become agents of transformation.

Participants who successfully complete the course will receive Certificate of Participation.
