Gender Protection Training Course: Safeguarding Rights, Promoting Equality, and Preventing Gender-Based Violence

Introduction

Gender protection is a fundamental component of human rights, social justice, and sustainable development. Around the world, individuals — especially women and girls — continue to face discrimination, exploitation, and violence based on gender. Addressing these challenges requires knowledge of legal frameworks, protection mechanisms, community engagement strategies, and practical interventions to prevent and respond to gender-based risks.

This Gender Protection course by Kincaid Development Center equips participants with the skills to design, implement, and monitor gender protection initiatives in communities, workplaces, humanitarian settings, and institutions. The program draws on international conventions such as CEDAW, the Istanbul Convention, the Beijing Platform for Action, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), alongside national policies and culturally relevant approaches.

Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a Certificate of Participation.
