Introduction
Workplace safety is not a matter of chance — it is the result of systematic planning, proactive hazard identification, and effective risk assessment. Hazards exist in every workplace, whether in manufacturing plants, construction sites, offices, laboratories, or warehouses. Failure to identify and address these hazards can lead to accidents, injuries, legal penalties, and loss of business reputation.
The Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) course by Kincaid Development Center equips participants with the skills to recognise workplace hazards, evaluate associated risks, and implement effective control measures. This training is grounded in international safety standards and tailored to the realities of African industries, ensuring relevance and applicability. Through practical exercises, case studies, and interactive discussions, participants learn how to create safer working environments, comply with legal requirements, and foster a proactive safety culture.
Participants who successfully complete the course will receive a Certificate of Participation.
