Sustainable Agroforestry Value Chains and Green Business Models

Sustainable agroforestry offers a transformative pathway toward climate-resilient agriculture, environmental conservation, and inclusive green economies. By integrating trees, crops, and livestock on the same land, agroforestry systems enhance biodiversity, restore degraded landscapes, and increase productivity while offering multiple income streams for rural communities. However, maximizing these benefits requires value-chain integration and business models that ensure economic viability, market competitiveness, and social equity.

This course provides participants with an in-depth understanding of how to design, manage, and scale sustainable agroforestry value chains supported by innovative green business models. It bridges environmental science, agribusiness strategy, and sustainability economics—helping professionals move from traditional production to climate-smart enterprise development that contributes to national and global sustainability goals such as the SDGs, Paris Climate Agreement, and the African Union’s Agenda 2063.

Participants who successfully complete the course will receive Certificate of Participation.
